Although there are myriad conferences, workshops and other professional opportunities available, MSPA’s policy is to post workshops and conferences of associations of school psychology with whom MSPA has a formal relationship, or workshops sponsored by the several training programs in Massachusetts.
Spring Conference a Great Success

Cape and Islands Spring Conference

The New Hampshire Association of School Psychologists Spring Conference will be held Wed. April 6, 2001 at the SERESC Conference Center in Bedford NH. Time to Register for the Spring Conference!
The MSPA spring conference brochures have been mailed and online registration is open. The conference title is “Problem Solving Approach: We CAN and MUST successfully intervene BEFORE identification.” The conference date is Friday April 8, 2011 at a new location-4 Points Sheraton Hotel, Norwood, MA.

Join ISPA in July in Chennai, India
The 33rd Annual Conference of the International School Psychology Association will be held in Nitttr, Chennai, India in July. The theme is ‘Educational Psychology in the Context of Globalization, Diversity, and Societal Challenges” for the July 19 to 23rd meetings.
Although the profession of school psychology in India is at its early stages, many psychologists including counseling psychologists work in clinics and early intervention centers and provide support to schools and services for children with disabilities. Educational psychology has been included in all teacher-training curricula in India for many years. Its use in improving the quality of teaching in the classroom together with the cognitive functioning of students is becoming increasingly widespread. The opportunity to learn about recent research and developments in theory and practice from around the world will help to promote the progress of the discipline and the profession of school psychology throughout India. You are whole-heartedly welcome at the 33rd International School Psychology Association Conference, in Chennai, India.
The conference will feature pre-conference workshops on the 19th of July, an interaction meeting with delegates and children, and a number of social programs. Social programs include a heritage tour of Chennai city, and tours to Pondicherry, Delhi, Agra and Jaipur as well as a tour to Kerala in South India. School psychologists who are interested in presenting must submit abstracts by April 30th. The deadline for low fee registration is March 15th.
